THE FOUR YEAR CONTRACT

Above left; Steven Gerrard possibly listening in deep thought as to what Jermain Defoe is saying to the media, and above right the "contraversal" Ranger home shirt, discussed in the second season of the four year contract book being written.

Above top image; denoting Steven Gerrard in 2005 holding up the "European Cup" ie present terms = Champions League Cup! Basically redefined his life in one match as well as enhancing Liverpool's status as well.

Above top right image; Alfredo Morelos, having yet again just scored for Rangers. If he can hold his temperate inline then he may well score even more goals for the Glasgow club than he has already. Ironically this image was taken during the match against St Josephs of Gibralter in the Europa League when he scored a hat trick.

These two individuals may well totally transform the path of Glasgow Rangers from a runners up spot continously behind the likes of their near neighbours in green Glasgow Celtic, and also maybe Aberdeen who seem to have during the 2018/9 Scottish Premiership League and cup ties the uncanny situation of beating Rangers on a majority of occasions. As it was at Liverpool when Gerrard played there, there was a nemesis, normally that being Chelsea in the later stages of his career. Having signed a four year contract with Rangers to manage them with his personal coaching staff, courtesy of Liverpool and Jurgen Klopp, one will be interested in the outcome of Gerrard's first management.

My personal interest stems from having gone to Liverpool and watched Gerrard play in the new millenium when Benitez was their coach. Now I am following his new job in Scotland as I would imagine one of many, and no doubt one of the reasons Rangers have been able to sign the odd higher quality player. Have it not been for Gerrard's reputation may not have given the club a second thought.

For me I will be writing the biography of "The Four Year Contract", those number of years reported to be the terms he initially signed for at Rangers. The format is going to be one book with all the four seasons - 2018/9, 2019/20, 2020/21 & 2021/22. It will interesting how everything maps out, because at the start of both of the first two seasons, the turnover of players coming in and out has been quite considerable.
